[WP125] How to add new ads

This tutorial is for adding new advertisements using the WP125 plugin. Instructions for installing this plugin are not included.

1. Log into your WordPress Dashboard. (NOTE: You may complete to see Step 8 at this stage before you begin to add the ad details.)

2. Click on Ads at the bottom of the Dashboard sidebar (this will open the Manage Ads page)

3. Click on Settings and configure as required (leave Default Style checked ). Click Save Changes.

4. Click Add/Edit. Enter the advertisement Name, choose a Slot (NOTE: You should assign a separate slot to each advertisement)

5. Enter the Target URL of where you wish the ad to link to.

6. Choose an Expiration date if applicable (if not, change this to I’ll remove it manually)

7. Make sure Click Tracking is checked if you wish to keep track of the number of clicks the ad receives

8. Add the URL for the Ad Image. You should add the image to your Media Library first and then copy the URL for the image to paste into this field. (NOTE: Ads need to be exactly 125 x 125 to display correctly.)

9. Click on Save Ad when complete. The ad details will then appear in Manage where you can edit or delete them and the ads will appear in your sidebar wherever the WP125 widget is placed.

[WP-Testimonials] How to add a new testimonial

This tutorial is for adding a new testimonial using the WP-Testimonials plugin. Installing this plugin or configuring the settings of this plugin are not included.

1. Log into your WordPress Dashboard

2. Click on Testimonials at the bottom of the Dashboard sidebar (this will open the Testimonials Management Page)

3. Enter the Clients Name, their Company and Website (NOTE: You don’t have to include every field)

4. In the Short Text field, enter the first sentence or two from the testimonial

5. In the Full Text field, enter the entire testimonial including the text you entered in Short Text

6. If you want to add an image for your Client, you need to add this to your Media Library first and then copy the URL for the image into this field (NOTE: Be aware of the size of your image before you upload it as the plugin will not shrink it for you)

7. Leave Sort Order set to 0 unless you want to order your testimonials in a certain way (instead of the latest testimonial at the top of the page).

8. Click Add Testimonial and your testimonial will be added to the list at the top of the Testimonials Management Page (you can edit or delete previous testimonials from here too)

9. To view you new testimonial, open the Testimonials page of your site

10. You can also display a single random testimonial in your sidebar by dragging the Testimonials widget to where you want it to show up
